Alternative Business Loans in Australia
Unsecured, low doc, bad credit, tax debt and property-secured options for businesses that do not fit a bank's checklist.
Alternative lending is not one product. It is a set of tools built for businesses that a bank's credit model cannot read properly: a profitable company with a tax debt, a sole trader with eight months of strong deposits, a director with a paid default from years ago, a business owner with plenty of property equity and an urgent deadline.
The pages below explain each option in depth: who it suits, what a lender looks at, what you need to provide, how it is repaid and where the traps are. Some options lean on your trading and bank statements; others lean on property. Many deals end up using a mix.
Not sure which fits? Run the Loan Route Finder in the calculators section, or skip the reading and start a 60-second enquiry. There is no credit check when you first enquire.

What is an alternative business loan?
Any business finance that comes from outside the big-bank model: private lenders, specialist cash flow lenders and property-secured lenders that decide on the whole business rather than a rigid scorecard. They suit owners with credit issues, tax debt, short trading history or irregular income.
How much can I borrow?
Unsecured and cash flow funding typically runs from $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements. With property as security, loans run from $20,000 to $5,000,000 by first mortgage, second mortgage or caveat.
Do alternative lenders need financial statements?
Often not. Many unsecured options work from six to twelve months of business bank statements, and property-secured loans focus on the equity and how the loan will be repaid. Low doc is normal rather than unusual.
Why don't you publish interest rates?
Every loan is priced on the business, the security, the term and the risk, so a headline rate would mislead most readers. You see the full cost in writing before you sign anything.
