Eligibility and credit

Can I get a business loan with bad credit?

Often, yes. Defaults, judgements, late payments and low scores are considered case by case. Lenders weigh how old the problem is, whether it has been paid and what your business bank account looks like today.

Can I borrow with an ATO debt?

Yes. Many owners borrow specifically to clear BAS, PAYG withholding or income tax arrears. Unsecured lenders consider it case by case, and property-secured loans can clear larger balances.

What is the minimum time trading?

Many unsecured lenders start at around six months of trading with consistent deposits. With property as security, newer businesses can be considered because the decision leans on the equity.

I'm a sole trader. Can I apply?

Yes. Sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies can all borrow for business purposes. Your ABN, bank statements and identification are the starting point.

Do I need to own property?

No. Unsecured and cash flow funding suits trading businesses without property. Property opens larger amounts, longer terms and more room when credit history is complicated.

Amounts, costs and repayments

How much can I borrow?

Unsecured and cash flow funding typically runs from $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements. Property-secured loans run from $20,000 to $5,000,000.

Why don't you publish interest rates?

Every loan is priced on the business, the security, the term and the risk. A headline rate would mislead most readers, so you see the full cost in writing before you commit.

How are repayments made?

Unsecured loans are usually repaid daily, weekly or monthly by direct debit. On property-secured loans, interest can be prepaid or added to the loan, so there may be nothing to pay during the term.

Can I repay early?

Many facilities allow early repayment. The terms vary, so check the early repayment clause in your documents before signing. We point it out on the call.

Process and speed

Does enquiring affect my credit score?

No. There is no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check only happens if you decide to go ahead with an application.

How fast can I get the money?

Smaller unsecured amounts can move quickly once bank statements are verified. Property-secured loans can be funded in as little as 24 hours on straightforward deals once documents are signed.

What documents do I need?

Usually identification, your ABN and six to twelve months of business bank statements. Property-secured loans add a rates notice and any mortgage statements. No valuation is needed before approval.

Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?

No. Your enquiry stays with one team. We do not sell leads or spray your details across a panel.

Property-secured loans

What is a second mortgage business loan?

A loan registered behind your existing home or commercial loan, using the equity above it. Your first mortgage stays in place.

What is a caveat loan?

A short-term loan where the lender lodges a caveat on the property title instead of registering a mortgage. It is quick to set up and can later be converted to a registered second mortgage.

Do I need a valuation?

No valuation is needed before approval. The property is assessed from sales evidence, title searches and photos.

How long can I keep a secured loan?

The terms are flexible. You can keep the loan as long as you need it, for example while a delayed refinance is finalised. When the refinance settles, it repays the loan.
